This workshop resulted in valuable exchange of ideas on "Multistage Stochastic Optimization to Clean Energy Processes". I have worked on development and application of statistical methodologies to problems related to renewable energy. This has been done from a perspective of a developing country with examples from Nepal. The environment at BIRS is conducive to carrying out collaborative research. The location is very pleasant and the opportunities for continual interaction over meals in addition to the excellent conference setup helps foster much more (innovative) research than a normal meeting.
