I had a very fruitful week at Banff. I am relatively new to the field of the workshop, having worked a lot in porous media but not so much in Non-newtonian flows. This was very educational for me. It helped to make me better understand the panorama of the field. It also helped me to understand the relevance of my work for this community. I had high expectations for this workshop due to the names involved in the program, and they were all surpassed. I also feel that I managed to establish new connections, some I kind of hoped for and some that were unexpected bonuses. All in all this was really an excellent workshop, one of the best in my career so far for sure.
