Attending the BIRS workshop "Model-Informed Drug Discovery and Quantitative Systems Pharmacology: Key Applications, Opportunities and Challenges" was transformative. The hybrid format facilitated dynamic exchanges with distinguished scientists, both in-person and online, profoundly enriching my approach to Quantitative Systems Pharmacology (QSP) and Quantitative Systems Toxicology and Safety (QSTS). The calibre of participants, leading experts in Systems biology, provided invaluable insights, particularly on integrating advanced machine learning and artificial intelligence into drug discovery. I am deeply grateful to the organizers for this opportunity and their flawless execution of a workshop that has sparked new collaborations and will undoubtedly propel the field forward.
